The Developmental Snapshot is an age-appropriate questionnaire that estimates your child's developmental age up to 36 months. LENA scientists and speech language pathologists developed the questionnaire, which is reliable and valid, and is highly correlated to standardized developmental assessments. See how your child's developmental age compares to his or her actual age... The Daily Conversational Turns Report provides feedback about the total amount of engaged interaction that occurs with your child. A conversational turn is a vocal initiation (coos, squeals, babbles, or words) by your child and a response by you, or vice versa. A high percentile rank for conversational turns establishes a rich language environment and an enhanced lifelong learning curve for your child. You can also see the average amount of these conversational turns your child experiences per day during a month of LENA use - and corresponding percentile rank - in the Monthly Conversational Turns report.

Empowering parents of children on the spectrum by providing a system to measure and analyze your child’s language therapies and development.

Don’t let endless questions stop you from conquering language delay – take control. At the LENA Foundation we understand that autism is not a simple disorder, but a broad spectrum that defies easy answers. LENA (Language ENvironment Analysis) was created to give parents, caregivers and professionals an in-depth look into a child’s natural language environment by providing meaningful information about your child’s language environment: how much your child speaks, hears and participates in conversations.

LENA is the only automatic language collection and analysis tool for parents and children.

  • LENA provides accurate data regarding your child’s cognitive, communication and social skills.
  • LENA measures and monitors your child’s language development with easy-to-use software, and generates reports so you can see your child’s progressions per hour, day, and month.
  • It’s all done in the family’s natural home environment – where your child is comfortable.
  • Arm yourself with information – Use the LENA Reports with your professional to determine which intervention strategies are helping your child excel to their utmost potential.

Don’t ‘wait and see’ – take action. Early detection and intervention is critical to gain maximum benefit from existing therapies.
